The Sun

1) New document (300+300 - black background) Now select the 'Elliptical Marquee Tool' - drag out a cyrcle and fill it white.



2) Press 'ctrl and d' - this will exit the shape so our next filter can function properly. Click 'Filter' > 'Disort' > 'Polar Coordinates' and enter these values:



3) We now rotate the image 90? clockwise, to do this click 'Image' > 'Roate Canvas' > '90? CW'.



4) Now the wind filter, click 'Filter' > 'Stylize' > 'Wind' and enter these values:



5) Repeat step 4 two times, and you should get this effect:



6) Now we rotate the image 90? anti-clockwise, click 'Image' > 'Roate Canvas' > '90? CCW'.



7) Lastly we click Filter' > 'Disort' > 'Polar Coordinates' and enter these values:



8) Now to add colour press 'Ctrl and U' - this will bring the hue/saturation window up, were your able to change the colour to yellow, green, red, blue etc..
